Department AI and Data, Section Data Governance

The Department of AI and Data is responsible for development and management within information collaboration, data management, and AI, creating conditions for an effective, legally secure, and data-driven operation, and contributing to the prevention of incorrect payments.

The work includes analysis, master data, information exchange, and applied AI, contributing to better decision support, efficiency, and quality in our services. The department also develops technology and methods to counteract incorrect payments and welfare fraud. We are about 100 employees distributed across two units and five sections.

In our Data Governance section, part of the department, we currently have about 15 employees. We are responsible for master data and its platform. We ingest data from several sources, such as the Swedish Tax Agency and the Companies Registration Office. Master data is then consumed by a variety of systems and applications within the Public Employment Service, with investments in future AI solutions. We are on a journey for data governance and master data that plays an important role in our future data usage. We base our work on Scrum and are inspired by the SAFe framework.

Job Description

We are now looking for a skilled solution architect in Master Data. In your role, you will:

• Be responsible for ensuring that IT solutions are realized correctly according to the business requirements and in relation to other IT solutions, and that the solution has the right lifespan based on the business needs.
• Ensure that the cross-authority architectural principles and guidelines regarding standards are followed in the technical architecture, and that reuse of functionality occurs where applicable. The solution architect's area of interest is thus both to ensure the success of the current change initiative and the ability to manage the solution, as well as to ensure that the authority's overall strategies are followed.
• Be responsible for balancing quality characteristics against functional requirements and preparing the basis for necessary priorities and compromises.
• Be jointly responsible with the business architect for ensuring that the technical solutions are based on and integrated with the business architecture.
• Design holistic solutions for data flows, integration points, and the master data hub.
• Document the architecture at the levels of system, process, and data model.

Basic Requirements for the Position

• A university degree of at least 180 credits in data engineering, system science, or another education that the employer assesses as equivalent. Alternatively, corresponding work experience that the employer assesses as relevant for the position.
• At least five years of current experience in solution architecture work, of which at least 3 years in a large and complex organization, such as within an authority or IT department/company.
• At least 3 years of current experience in the domain of master data and data quality.
• At least 2 years of experience working with information and/or data architecture.
• At least 2 years of current experience working with data quality, data lineage, and golden record.
• At least 3 years of experience in agile development work.
• Completed certified architecture training.
• Very good knowledge of communicating in Swedish in speech and writing, as well as high reading comprehension.

Other Merits for the Position

• Experience working with information management, information architecture, metadata, data management, and data modeling.
• At least 2 years of current experience driving issues related to IT security.
• Experience with any MDM (Master Data Management) solution, such as Informatica MDM.
• Experience working in an authority, including knowledge of legislation and regulations specifically applicable to the public sector.
• Experience collaborating with other architecture groups, e.g., domain architect, enterprise architect.
• Good ability to communicate in English in speech and writing.
